The bounty from the garden- of things I didn't plant! This summer the compost heap came to life :) pumpkins- plus 4 more to come- and tomatoes, even! Didn't ripen before the season changed, but slowly on the window sill.

Made these muffins, but only 1/4 C sugar, plus chopped up and added the apple and kiwifruit the toddler rejected- YUM!

 

Saturday

Chopping up old T-shirts to use in rag rugs- some as long strips (rolled into balls) for braided rugs, the rest as short pieces for a fluffy rug

A small zucchini harvest from the garden!

 

Thursday

Made these soft cookies again, this time added cocoa powder to half the batch, and made bite-sized to share at work

 

Tuesday

Ah! Didn't realise it was so simple to make beeswax cloth food wrap (aka reusable glad wrap) and that I had all the supplies and equipment needed already.

The rainbow hat is coming along nicely- quick and easy to knit, squishy and colourful!

 

Friday

After a few false starts, have got wool and colours selected for P's rainbow hat- and we've already had a few occasions she could have worn it this year!!

A co-worker made these ages ago and I've been thinking about them ever since :) Got the recipe, and they turned out even better than I hoped!!

Made a chocolate cake just because- I guess it really hasn't been cool enough for bakingin ages! Decided on rainbow swirl icing. Once I smoothed it out it reminded me of tie-dye :)

3yo: a pink sparkly dress 'cos she always likes to my wear dress ups when she comes to play

I still can't believe how lucky I was at the op shop- fuchsia pink tulle and shimmery purple spandex in the fabric bin!

Fired up the grill for the first time this season!! Yum!!!

This was actually "Plan B" but sooo pleased with how this wee baby blanket turned out- knitting machine for the bulk of it, moss stitch edge by hand.

Baking at every meal today! Blueberry pancakes for breakfast, choc cupcakes at lunch, and cheesy cornbread to go with our chilli dinner

What's that, little baby? Getting bored with cooked apple? You leave me no choice but to bake them into a pie.
